SAFARI RENT-A-CAR, INC. was conceived and organized by a former officer and employees of Hertz Rent-A-Car and other enterprising young men from the transportation industry whose primary objective is to give its clients the same kind of service only a car rental company with an international caliber can offer minus the high cost of renting a car.
Thus, SAFARI RENT-A-CAR, INC. was incorporated on March 22, 1993 and started its operation with meager 10 units of car for hire with its office located at 1943 Flordeliz St., La Paz Village, Makati City, only a few minutes away from the heart of Makati Central Business District.

Its Board of Directors was headed by Mr. Virgilio L. Hizon who also acts as its President and General Manager. Mr. Hizon used to work as the Assistant General Manager of Hertz Rent-A-Car. Our staff consist initially of 2 Sales Executives, 2 Clerical staff and 4 drivers. The Company started its operation as a sub-contractor for other bigger car rental companies, aside from renting out to some individual clients.

In August 1995, SAFARI got a break in its sales effort by bagging the contract of Northern Telecommunication which started leasing units up to a maximum of 27 units. It was followed in November 1995 by the opening of leasing contract of 7 units with Fujitsu Ten Phils., Inc. with offices at Laguna Technopark.

Now, after twelve (12) years in business, the Company has already a fleet of 250 cars consisting mostly of Toyota Corolla XL, XE, GLI, HI-ACE, REVO, CAMRY, INNOVA, HONDA Civic and CRV. Our clientèle’s consist mostly of big companies (80%) and individual renters (20%). The reason for this is that we believe that renting out to corporate accounts is better, although the rate is lower, because collection is easier, accident are lesser and the depreciation of the car is at the minimum. Our staff now consist of 40 sales and office staff and 100 drivers.

    I would like to inquire how much it will cost renting an air conditioned budget 2000 and above model VAN with + driver, that can accommodate 6 passengers and our luggage (7 including driver) from 10 up to 23 of May 2009. We are going to do a few trips to Subic, Batangas, Tagaytay and Laguna Area and go around Manila. Please Would you advise latest rates on daily and basis. Please let me know how much is the car rental including driver’s fee? I hope you give us a well-trained, disciplined professional driver, who can speak English fluently and could be active sometimes as our guide to some local areas mentioned above.

    Hi. I’m looking for a rental passenger van that will accommodate at least 4 adults and 3 children plus lots of luggage–perhaps a full size van. We plan to travel to Pangasinan and to Cavite. Air conditioning is a must. Late models are preferred. My flight will be arriving Aug 1 at 11 pm. My wife can pick up the vehicle earlier if your office is not open at that time.
